Volunteers needed for our new service…

Hot on the heels of the arrival of Fair Meals Direct – our brand new service set up to provide healthy, hearty food for some of the most vulnerable people in our community – we’re on the lookout for a little extra help…

Here’s how it works:

We’re making meals using great, local produce, with our chef working from 10am until 1pm each weekday at Water Street kitchen, Carlisle. We’re currently making around 30 meals a day for those who are perhaps not able to prepare food for themselves. We’ve got meat, fish and vegetarian options, so if you know someone who would benefit from this service, please get in touch

Knocking on door

Here’s what we need:

We require volunteer drivers to help deliver the meals to the people who need them. All journeys are within Carlisle, expenses are paid and full training will be given.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, so please spread the word. If you would like to join in with the deliveries, please contact: mark@sustainablecarlisle.org
